The High Pressure Conference

  • The high pressure conference of Japan is the annual meeting of the Japan Society of High Pressure Science and Technology. The first high pressure conference of Japan was held in Kyoto in 1959. Since then it has continuously provided important opportunities for individual researchers to report and discuss progresses in high-pressure research.
  • The number of presentations given in this meeting has grown year by year. Recently more than 300 reports on stimulating topics are discussed by approximately 350 participants coming from entire Japan including nonmembers. The meeting has a significant role to advance the high-pressure science and technology as the center of Japanese high-pressure research. Researchers from all fields of the high-pressure science and technology gather to demonstrate their latest hot results.
  • The proceedings of the high pressure conference of Japan is published every year as a special volume of the journal of JSHPST, The Review of High Pressure Science and Technology.
